Mark Zuckerberg not only became famous for creating the most important social network in the world, but also for being a visionary, ambitious and determined young man.

From an early age Mark Zuckerberg made it clear what his passion was: computers. At the age of 12, he taught himself to program and created a basic instant messaging system.
He lived his adolescence like any other boy of his age, but always maintained his fascination for computers. So while studying he continued to work on the development of new programs as a hobby.
During his last years of high school he created a first version of the music software “Pandora” called Synapse Media Player. It attracted the interest of several companies, including AOL and Microsoft who expressed interest in buying the program.
And although they tried to hire the teenager to work on the development of the program, but he refused all offers and released the program code. Zuckerberg’s goal: to get into the prestigious Harvard University.
Zuckerberg gained admission to his dream university in 2002. And in just two years, he developed a reputation as the most experienced software developer on campus.
At the age of 19, young Mark developed Facemash, an application with the intention of creating a connection network among university students, and in a short time it went viral.
A year later and with more experiences together with his roommates he created The Facebook, a social platform with the mission of facilitating connections between people.

A passion turned into a business
Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is a digital entrepreneur who was born into a Jewish family on May 14, 1984 in White Plains, New York.
Young Mark grew up in the nearby town of Dobbs Ferry, where his father, Edward Zuckerberg, was a dentist and his mother, Karen, worked as a psychiatrist before the birth of the couple’s four other children.
It was very clear first and foremost that Mark had a spark and demonstrated it with incredible discipline and intelligence. He was at the top of his class in his school and won prizes in different subjects, such as mathematics and physics. But, his greatest passion was computers.
At the age of 12, after learning basic programming in a self-taught way, he created “Zucknet”. Using an Atari Basic system, he programmed a simple instant messaging program that he named after the family name.
His family was impressed and fascinated by the program, and his father decided to use it in his practice. Since he found it easier to use Zucknet at the reception than to call the dentists with shouting and screaming.
His mother and siblings also used it within their home to communicate from different locations.
Mark’s talent was overflowing, so his parents decided to hire a tutor to teach him once a week about computers. To take extracurricular courses at nearby Mercy College.
His ability to learn quickly, during his adolescence, allowed him to master languages such as French, Hebrew, Latin and Ancient Greek.
Zuckerberg attended Phillips Exeter Academy, an exclusive high school. There he had the opportunity to show his talent for fencing, and excel in literature, earning a diploma for studying the classics. However, he never gave up his passion for computers, and continued to work on developing new programs as a hobby.
That is why he developed the music software “Synapse Media Player, which exposed his talent to important companies, and helped him get into Harvard, the college of his dreams. And where he would later develop his great project, Facebook.
